Lady Leps win title in come-from-behind win

   For the 3rd time in school history, the Lady Leopards Softball Team claimed a district championship with a tough come-from-behind win against Danbury on Friday by a score of 6-5. 
  Leading hitters were Serenity Suarez (2-3) with a three-run home run that put the Lady Leps up in the 5th inning. 
  Also contributing at the plate were Olivia Britton 1-3, Keira Reis 1-3, 1 RBI, Alexa Zuniga 1-2, and Michelle-Rose Mirelez 1-3. 
  Picking up the win in relief was Lakyn Matchett with 5 strikeouts in 5 innings of work. 
  Keira Reis started the game and had 1 strikeout. 
  On Tuesday, the Lady Leps defeated Brazos by a score of 15-0. 
  The Leps came out swinging the bats with 20 hits on the night. Leading hitters were Serenity Suarez 5-5, Kylie Sazera 4-4, Lakyn Matchett 3-5, Michelle-Rose Mirelez 3-4, Olivia Britton 2-4, 2 HR, Keira Reis 2-4 and Nicole Ryman 1-2. 
  Picking up the win in the circle was Lakyn Matchett with 11 strikeouts and giving up 3 hits. 
  The Lady Leopards were to play East Bernard Monday for seeding and then will play either Shepard or Tarkington later in the week with site, dates and times TBD.
