Another busy weekend coming up

   It’s another busy weekend in Bay City and Matagorda County this week.
  There’s a variety of civic events and local fundraisers available for young and old alike.
  Bay City Tourism Department and the Bay City Public Library have partnered together for “Matagorda County ArtWalks: A Library of Artists” as the first of a series of art walk events to span the county.
  The free event will be from 2-6 p.m. at the library, 1100 7th St. in Bay City.
  Local artists will showcase their work along with a few demonstrations, food trucks, and live music by Alan Reyes.
  Matagorda County Birding Nature Center hosts its annual “Full Moon Food Truck Festival” from 5-10 p.m. Saturday, April 27, at the Center, 1025 SH 35 South in Bay City.
  Advance tickets are $5 per person and can be purchased from Green Bro’s Jewelry.
  Ticket prices go up to $7 at the gate.
  Beverages, alcohol, and food will be available for purchase on-site.
  Attendees are encouraged to bring a lawn chair or blankets as seating will be limited.
  Live music will be performed by country solo artist Anthony Smith as he opens for the Emotions.
  Children’s activities will also be available.

  Holy Cross Catholic School’s annual “Spring Bazaar” starts at 11:30 a.m. Sunday, April 28, at Knights of Columbus Hall, 193 Columbus Road in Bay City.
  Lunches are catered by A&A BBQ are $15 per plate and feature barbecue, three sides, tea, and a dessert.
  There will also be a variety of children’s games, a country store, a raffle, and a live auction.
